MY NEW FAVORITE SPACE in Dresden. I will never go there again without having eaten in this place. I can't comment on how quickly the food came because there is so much to look at in this shop that it could take an hour and you wouldn't notice it. It didn't take an hour, of course, but the decoration, the staff, everything is just great. I have seldom seen such friendly people. It's just an experience from start to finish. The staff is even partly in train clothing which makes it very authentic. The food tasted a ten. No drawbacks, just excellent.
The equipment is unique. The ambience is something special, especially for tourists, as you can take a trip into the history of Dresden. The dishes are rustic and tasty. After you've been there several times, it's usually enough. For (private) events there are even better addresses in the (close) vicinity. The friendliness and a pleasant demeanor of the service are always given.
Breakfast options, but a little bit expensive. We paid for two persons 24€ but i have to say that everything Was good and a loot of Food.
Nice and extraordinary ambience, with very good cuisine. The eye also has a lot to discover. A very good stopover after a visit to the old town.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. All rules for covid 19 were observed. There were even hand disinfectants in the toilets, not just at the entrance. This restaurant comes highly recommended.
Super!! The whole evening we were looking for a place to sit, relax, and everything was busy! And lucky! We entered this institution and we were taken directly to the tram carriage, which stands inside the cafe. At first, we thought the staff had confused something! But no!! It was very cool! And they called us a Russian-speaking waiter Sergei! A very nice guy, the service from him was super! Good ending to the evening!
The egg peck has to be simple. Very loud. None of the waitresses wore a mask. Sorry but that's true. ?Did not feel comfortable because of that. Nice ambience. Friendly service but no longer attentive after ordering.
Delicious food enjoyed under the mild light of the sun in the first days of October.
So what can I say: a must in Dresden. Despite the size of the restaurant, it is not overly noisy. The food is served quickly and tastes really good. Nice service that is happy to help if you are not familiar with Saxon cuisine
I cannot understand the many very good reviews. We ordered a salad with strips of turkey ..... what can I say. Only the lettuce was fresh. The rest was out of the can. The turkey strips were barely seasoned and their numbers were so clear that they wanted to report a missing person. Tourist crowd. You don't have to have it.
For us a must visit on every trip to Dresden ..... Unique .... Service very nice and totally attentive ... Cozy inside and outside ... Food and delicious ... So here everything is right for me ...
Very good, plentiful regional gastronomy at reasonable prices. You feel right at home in the rustic restaurant. The service is friendly and quick. From the outside, the restaurant looks rather inconspicuous. At times there are cabaret interludes by the "tram conductor" to amuse the guests.
Second time in a row for dinner here and very satisfied for the second time in a row. Whether meat, fish, salad or drinks, everything arrives quickly, tastes delicious and is served in a friendly manner. The ambience is rustic, the menu well sorted, the restaurant well attended, the prices reasonable. My recommendation.
There is always something for every taste, friendly service in beautiful surroundings. Only the wooden chairs take a bit of getting used to during a longer stay. But the food tastes good. The interior is worth seeing ... see pictures ...
We went here for both breakfast and dinner. In the evening there are nice little shows and very good food. The breakfast is sufficient, but could, for the asking price, be prepared a little more lovingly.
The service is very friendly. The apple strudel was delicious and homemade. Unfortunately the portion was too small for the price. The cocktails I tried were unfortunately not to be recommended. Overall nice to drink with beer.
A nice restaurant right at the foot of the Frauenkirche. Cozy beer garden with a view of the church. Beautiful objects inside. You feel as if you have been transported back in time and you actually get the impression of sitting in a museum and eating. Food very tasty and prices ok. Everything very clean and well-kept. The only criticism: the service staff are not well organized. If you have already managed to order something, you will no longer be considered. If you don't want to reorder something, nobody comes. You also wait forever for an ashtray and the icing on the cake to get the bill you had to accept 30 minutes. It's a shame because that's the last job you do in a restaurant and then you go out dissatisfied, although everything else was fine.
This place surprises positively. The best place in the Frauenkirche in my opinion. Very good quality food, service friendlier than all the others (checked) and solid good quality. You will end your evening here in a nice mood. Almost only here you can drink beer related to this region: Radeberger (pils) / Schöferhofer Weizen (wheat). Do not hesitate for a moment - sit with them :)
Nice place, especially inside. The old tram wagon is a real highlight and can also be used as a seat. Good and original menu with an extensive selection. Service was very friendly and attentive. Food and drinks were very good.
The food was ok, but in the time of pandemic you expect special attention to hygiene, not discovering dirt in your salad.
We were here on a warm summer evening. Staff was friendly and the beer was a beer ?. The outside area directly in front of the Frauenkirche certainly makes this restaurant special. Especially in the evening or this is a very special atmosphere where you can linger.
Fabulous view, very friendly service and good food. What more do you want? The prices are still okay for the location, the selection is sufficient. Only the vegetarian offer could be larger. However, we can make an unreserved recommendation and would come again.
Amazing place!
Top Personal
So nice the big portion fried steak and the pasta to soup, yummy yummy!!
Menu and ambiance were great! Giving 4 stars out of 5 because portions of certain dishes and speed of service could be improved just a bit
Terrific food!
I absolutely loved the atmosphere with all of the train artifacts. Ate here as a party of two and really liked the "old world" menu and the "new German" menu. It provided for a lot of different options. Everything was delicious and made me feel like a got an authentic German experience. The homemade apple streudel to finish was excellent. *Business traveler from USA.
The food was decent. I'm in an interracial relationship I got alot of uncomfortable staring but the place is really cool and convenient, our hotel was upstairs and the decor is pretty awesome.
Super slow service. We waited over 45 minutes for the mains. Starters came at separate times. And very slowly too. They tried to accommodate for gluten free meal, but served starters with regular bread. So for coeliac disease I cannot recommend the place. Avoid if you can. I would've walked away shouldn't it have been so late and for the hunger.
Place is really interesting. Near the old tram you can eat very tasty dishes (vegetarian too). It isn't the cheaper restaurant but I recommend.
"Dresden" style brunch, quite decent for the price paid, nothing to compare with Basilico....
The location is right next to the Frauenkirche course great. Pork neck as a main course tasted, maybe a bit more sauce needed. The dessert for € 8.90 was a bit disappointing. The mousse is relatively tasteless. The operation crisp, but just a number for themselves. 3 courses, 2 drinks, 42 €, you can not say anything against.
Great breakfast
Food was not good the service also
Thank you, Florian, for the unforgettable experience. Nice place, good food, warm manners, real deal, no hipsters.
Super
Very bad attitude and unfriendly to Asian. No matter we ask for menu, water or Wifi PW, the waitress didn't come, and after we called them more than 3 times, one waitress just said 'wait' to us and left in a very rude attitude. When the White Western customers came after us(2 diffefent tables), the waitress gave them water and menu first with a warm smile and just ignored us. I travelled many countries, we never met so rude people before. Our journey was Paris, Prague and Dresden. This restaurant destroyed my holiday, I do not want to show my son such a worst experience and I wouldn't want to travel to German again?
Excellent food and lovely service.
What a restaurant! Go on Sundays, brunch buffet is the best!
The restaurant located in a very good location. The decoration was very beautiful and interesting. It's the place you should stop by to sit for a little while when you are in Dresden. The food was OK. Actually I had no idea what I ordered, so I did it randomly. The price was quite expensive but understandable.
the waitress was so unfriendly and rude. She came to us the moment we sat and asked for the orders! afterwards when we wanted to pay, my friend’s hand uncounsiously touched her hand and she said sorry, but the waitress rolled her eyes at her!!! I don’t accept such a behaviour in the mist touristic area of the city.
The location is great but food was mediocre: I could not eat the red cabbage soup, the schnitzel was dry and the mushed potatoes tasteless. So pick something else.
Prices are a little bit too high but the vibe is good, staff are friendly. The atmosphere is kind of retro and lovely.
Tasty food but a bit overpriced!
Expensive And not quite tasty
Food and beer were great.
Went with my school and we couldnt choose the food so we had nothing to say about that.I hadnt eaten a lot so i apologized for the fact that we didnt finish our plate, for the waste of food. Instead of accepting my apology, the waitress started an argument.
Ouh... It was delicous and great size....
The only real advantage is the location of the restaurant. Everything else is either mediocre or plain bad. The service is super slow, it seemed like the staff was mostly interested in taking and bringing drink orders, but not the food. The waitress forgot to bring us the English menu, so we had to manage it with the German one. The food is nothing special, so for this price it's not worth it. Only the ice cream was relatively good, but since it's a German cuisine place, ice cream being the only good thing is a sign of bad service and quality of food.
